The $30k list and the $250k list aren't the same list.
You're right that a bulk profile buy plus Icypeas costs less. It does. This page lays out what each one actually puts into your campaign, with sources you can check, so you can judge the gap on its merits.
Bulk profile buy + Icypeas ~$30k
Crustdata TAM file $250k
- ✓3.35M exact-fit TypeScript devs + eng leaders, already sorted into your 3 rings
- ✓Every profile refreshed within 30 days, guaranteed
- ✓~2.1M verified business emails, over 60% of the file
What's actually in the box. Line by line.
We're not arguing price. Yours is cheaper. We're arguing what each dollar buys once it reaches a real TypeScript developer at their current job.
Title and work history stopped refreshing on Nov 13, 2025. That's not our claim.
It's in Bright Data's own documentation, and it applies to every way they sell the data: datasets, enrichment and scrapers.1
"Position, Experience, and Education are still available as sticky data from cache (last refreshed up to Nov 13, 2025)."
"Fresh collection of these three fields is not currently possible at meaningful fill rates."
"Fill rates for these fields dropped from 50-64% to roughly 2%."
Those three fields are the ones that matter for this campaign. They're how you'd tell a TypeScript developer from a generic one, and they're what you'd personalize on.
As of today, that cache is 337 days old at best. A developer who changed teams, stacks or companies this year shows up the way they looked last November.
How fast a stored developer profile goes wrong
Past six months, most stored profiles no longer match the live one, and 1 in 3 people have changed jobs entirely. That's the age bracket a Nov 13, 2025 cache sits in today.
Crustdata check, Oct 14, 2026: stored copies of profiles from this TAM compared field by field with the same person's live profile. "Match" means same job, same title, same headline. Sample sizes are small per bucket, so treat the middle rows as directional.7
Bright Data says the change hits every provider collecting public data. Fair. We still deliver current title and full work history refreshed within 30 days, and we'll prove it on a sample you pick (section 05).
Icypeas is accurate. It just doesn't find most people.
Credit where it's due: in independent tests Icypeas rarely returns a bad email (0.5% false positives in one, 1.0% hard bounce in the other).3,4 The issue is coverage. Every developer it can't find is a developer your book never reaches.
Share of people who come back with a usable business email
Second column applies each rate to your 3.35M people. Both Icypeas tests were run by Icypeas competitors with different inputs and methods; our 63% is our own estimate from sampled profiles in this TAM. Different tests, so read it as a range, not a scoreboard. That's exactly why we'd rather run a bake-off.3,4,8
More of your TAM in the inbox with the Crustdata file, even if the bulk buy somehow matched our exact 3.35M people.
The Europe gap. ~1.0M verified EU emails from us, against ~0.5M at a 29.9% find rate on the same 1.72M people.
Fair point: 1% × $10 isn't how it works. So use your own pricing.
Mastra Teams is $250 a month.6 Pick how many developers it takes, in your experience, to produce one paying team. The file covers itself at a rate most devtools would call a bad month.

Paying teams
Teams revenue
Breaks even at 1 paying team per ~25,000 developers you email.
Teams list price only. Doesn't count Enterprise deals, usage overages, workshop and book pipeline, or the developers who start on the free tier and bring Mastra to their next team. Developer counts use the verified-email totals above.
Same rate either way. About 7.5¢ per enriched profile.
Every TypeScript developer we can find in NA + EU

- ~2.1M verified business emails, checked deliverable before delivery
- 30-day freshness, guaranteed at delivery

- Your strongest signal, nothing inferred. The people most likely to open a TypeScript agents book
- ~472k verified business emails
- 30-day freshness, guaranteed at delivery
- Same fields, format and terms as the full set

Run a bake-off before you spend a dollar.
We're confident enough to put it head to head. Pick the people, run both stacks, and score them on what your campaign actually needs.
You pick 2,000 developers
Any 2,000 from your TAM. Your choice, so nobody cherry-picks.
Run both stacks
Bulk profile buy + Icypeas on your side. Crustdata on ours. Same 2,000 people.
Score on three things
Then decide with real numbers instead of our word or anyone's benchmark.
If the cheaper stack wins, you've lost nothing. If we win, you know exactly what the difference buys.
